The Basic Employability Skills Training for Persons with Disabilities 2018

"It always seem impossible until it is done"--Nelson Mandela. It was a resounding success as we kickstarted the Basic Employability Skills Training for Persons with Disabilities (Project BEST-4-PWDs) in commemoration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities 2018. This year's theme is focused on Empowering Persons with Disabilities and Ensuring Inclusion and Equality. The BEST4PWDs is a partnership project and a continuous capacity development program for our community of PWds. The program was held on Tuesday 4th of December, 2018 in Ibadan, Nigeria. The workshop centred on developing  Self-Motivation and Leadership competencies, and leveraging on Digital Skills to Fastrack Career Success. Youth Leadeaship Summer Camp

Join us this year for the Youth Leadership Summer camp !!This is a 1 week non-residential camp put up by the Youth Aid Development Initiative i n collaboration with the United States Diplomatic Mission, American Corner Ibadan and Diplo-Age Finishing Academy for up to 50 youths and teenagers (ages 13-21). This summer camp will give young people the opportunity to learn about themselves, youth assets, leadership skills, goal setting, teamwork, communication, and creative problem solving. The Youth Leadership Camp is for young persons who want to increase their leadership skills and have their voices heard. Youth participate in hands-on, decision-making activities assisted by trained facilitators, including youth who have previously participated.

                                                  Diplo-Age Graduate Finishing Academy is a social enterprise providing Soft Skills Training and Human Capital Development trainings to educationally marginalized youths, jobseekers, girls, and women in urban slums and rural communities as well as SMEs, in the areas of employability enhancement, competence-building, soft skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, total personality development, curated diplomatic/vocational soft skill solutions, employability and workplace efficiency, business management, and Information Communication Technologies.

THE MENTORING AND CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM AT OLUBI MEMORIAL GRAMMAR SCHOOL, MOLETE IBADAN, OYO STATE ON 16TH OF MARCH 2017

The Mentoring and Capacity Building Program organised   by Youth Aid Development Initiativeheld at Olubi Memorial Grammar School, Molete Ibadan on Thursday March 17, 2017 achieved a stellar success. The capacity building session was a great stride that positively impacted all the classes in senior secondary (SS1 - SS2) with the population of well over three hundred students (300), on thematic areas – “ Career Development, Self Discovery, Entrepreneurship, Leadership Development, Effective Communication and Literacy, Child Rights and Basic Fundamental Human Rights, and the 17 United Nations SDGS as it relates to Civic Responsibilities ”,

THE 2016 INTERNATIONAL YOUTH SUMMIT AND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

  The City of Ibadan witnessed one of the most  impactful  and life-transforming event at the 2016 International Youth Summit and Leadership Conference. The Young African Diplomats Network, a youth and social development organization- established in 2014 with the aim of building the leadership capacity of youths in Urban and rural communities towards making them global citizens and leaders, hosted the maiden edition of The International Youth Summit and Leadership Conference (IYSLC). The conference was held on Wednesday 30th of November, 2016 at the American Corner Ibadan, tagged "The Impact of Good Governance and the Role of Young Nigerians as Global Shapers."

Tony Elumelu Foundation Launches TEEP 2017 Application in January

The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) will begin accepting requests for the third round of the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme. The Programme is the Foundation’s 10-year, US$100 million commitment to training, mentoring and funding 10,000 African entrepreneurs. The application portal will be open until   midnight   (WAT),   March 1, 2017 . Entrepreneurs must complete the online application and selection is on a rolling basis, so early application is encouraged.
