The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJWBGSP) will begin taking applications February 10, 2016 . The program is open to women and men from developing countries with professional experience and a history of supporting their countries’ development efforts. This program enables mid-career professionals from developing countries to access the latest techniques and knowledge through graduate studies at universities worldwide. It was established over 25 years ago as part of the special Policy and Human Resources Fund set up by the government of Japan to support the development of human resources in less developed countries

The Yale Young Global Scholars Program (YYGS) is offering six financial need-based scholarships for high school students from the African continent to attend YYGS this summer at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. The scholarship will cover tuition, airfare and travel expenses to the program. The Yale Young Global Scholars Program is open to students who have one or two years of secondary school remaining, and offers six unique two-week sessions. The program is a rigorous academic experience, featuring lectures from renowned Yale faculty.

Pat Utomi Prize for Students’ Debate on Public Policy 2016 is designed to be an annual debate festival that shall revive and the fast eroding culture of students’ debates in campuses on government policies, programs and public affairs in Nigeria. Each year, interested students from tertiary institutions in Nigeria shall participate in preliminaries to qualify for the grand finale scheduled to hold every 6th February alongside Prof Patrick Utomi’s birthday commemoration and annual lecture.
