The Basic Employability Skills Training for Persons with Disabilities 2018

It was a resounding success as we kickstarted the Basic Employability Skills Training for Persons with Disabilities (Project BEST-4-PWDs) in commemoration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities 2018. This year's theme is focused on Empowering Persons with Disabilities and Ensuring Inclusion and Equality. The BEST4PWDs is a partnership project and a continuous capacity development program for our community of PWds. The program was held on Tuesday 4th of December, 2018 in Ibadan, Nigeria. The workshop centred on developing  Self-Motivation and Leadership competencies, and leveraging on Digital Skills to Fastrack Career Success. There was also a profound session on Job-Readiness(CV, Cover Letter Writing and acing Job Interviews), and portfolio development for job seekers and young business owners living with disabilities.large. On Saturday, 9 June 2018,    Youth Aid Development Foundation (YADF)  h ad a partnership project with Angel Wings Global Freedom Foundation, One Voice Initiative for Women and Children Emancipation (OVIWCE),and Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network Ibadan in hosting the first ever  Ibadan Ability-in-Disability   Conference  at the Initiative for Information, Arts and Culture Development (IACD), American Corner, 54 Magazine Road, Beside Booksellers, Jericho Ibadan. Youth Leadeaship Summer Camp

Join us this year for the Youth Leadership Summer camp !!This is a 1 week non-residential camp put up by the Youth Aid Development Initiative i n collaboration with the United States Diplomatic Mission, American Corner Ibadan and Diplo-Age Finishing Academy for up to 50 youths and teenagers (ages 13-21). This summer camp will give young people the opportunity to learn about themselves, youth assets, leadership skills, goal setting, teamwork, communication, and creative problem solving. The Youth Leadership Camp is for young persons who want to increase their leadership skills and have their voices heard. Youth participate in hands-on, decision-making activities assisted by trained facilitators, including youth who have previously participated.

Introducing Diplo-Age Finishing Academy: Our Employability Skills Development outfit at Youth Aid Development Initiative

                                                  Diplo-Age Graduate Finishing Academy is a social enterprise providing Soft Skills Training and Human Capital Development trainings to educationally marginalized youths, jobseekers, girls, and women in urban slums and rural communities as well as SMEs, in the areas of employability enhancement, competence-building, soft skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, total personality development, curated diplomatic/vocational soft skill solutions, employability and workplace efficiency, business management, and Information Communication Technologies.

THE MENTORING AND CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM AT OLUBI MEMORIAL GRAMMAR SCHOOL, MOLETE IBADAN, OYO STATE ON 16TH OF MARCH 2017

The Mentoring and Capacity Building Program organised   by Youth Aid Development Initiativeheld at Olubi Memorial Grammar School, Molete Ibadan on Thursday March 17, 2017 achieved a stellar success.
