Youth Leadeaship Summer Camp

Join us this year for the Youth Leadership Summer camp !!This is a 1 week non-residential camp put up by the Youth Aid Development Initiative in collaboration with the United States Diplomatic Mission, American Corner Ibadan and Diplo-Age Finishing Academy for up to 50 youths and teenagers (ages 13-21).This summer camp will give young people the opportunity to learn about themselves, youth assets, leadership skills, goal setting, teamwork, communication, and creative problem solving. The Youth Leadership Camp is for young persons who want to increase their leadership skills and have their voices heard. Youth participate in hands-on, decision-making activities assisted by trained facilitators, including youth who have previously participated.

During the Day-Camp, we provide adolescents with a community of caring mentors who provide experiential education that leads to self-respect and appreciation for life. All of the outcomes—friendships, overcoming challenges, staying healthy and building character— prepare them for bigger, brighter lives down the road. In addition to great friendships and enduring memories, many important life skills will be learned at this year’s leadership camp.
Our 1 week day-camp is specifically designed to empower our campers and unlock their potential to become leaders. Our supportive environment lets participants share their aspirations, further develop their strengths, face new challenges, and build courage and confidence. They learn about making a difference in the lives of others, and have lots of fun along the way. A combination of traditional summer camp experience with a focus on leadership, preparation for life beyond school and building self-awareness.
